FUTURE PROJECTS

STUDY OF THE INTEGRATION OF LOGISTICS AREAS WITH THE DISTRIBUTION REQUIREMENTS PLANNING (DRP) SYSTEM APPLIED IN DEPENDENT DEMAND

Faced with an increasingly technological and competitive market, competition between companies occurs within their supply chains. Therefore, there is a need to optimize technology related to distribution and order fulfillment. Basically, the supply chain involves the management of three main flows: material flow, demand flow, and, most importantly, information flow. The main objective will be to study the integration of the Distribution Requirements Planning (DRP) system with other areas and systems. In this context, this work aims to analyze the integration of DRP applied to dependent demand and investigate the interactions and interdependencies of DRP with other related systems that influence it. Information will be collected from the available literature, as well as an analysis of the logistics processes and their characteristics to identify the main activities, their failures and create possible recommendations for improvements in relation to the DRP.
