I started teaching at the University of Santo Tomas Junior High Echool in 1973. Then, I moved to the UST College of Education where I taught professional courses in Education. I retired from active duty as teacher and administrator in 2016 but I continued teaching in the UST Graduate School. I joined the Research Center for Social Sciences and Education and serves as Research Associate up to the present. My research interests are student affairs and services, technical vocational training education, and teaching strategies methods.

Shared Experiences of College Students’ Encounter with School’s Mental Health Professionals

This explanatory sequential qualitative research is a continuation of the 2024-2025 research entitled Assessment of Support Services for College Students with Mental Health Concerns: Basis for Policy Formulation. The participants of this current study are the students who participated in the 2024- 2025 research from the different regions. The research team shall conduct an interview of three (3) randomly selected students per region who are willing to participate. The interview shall be recorded and the data corpus obtained shall be be coded and shall go through cool and warm analysis. This process requires coding, thematic analysis, and rigorous reviewing. This study shall be a source of information and insights for the school administrators, policy makers, parents, and shall be very useful in creating a framework to effectively address the increasing mental health concerns among the college students as well as collaborations among schools and colleges.
