Hello, it’s a pleasure to meet you! I am an electrical engineer with 10 years of experience in quality, testing, and regulatory product certification. I have been working at TK Elevator for over 5 years, with a primary focus on the assembly and testing of elevators in the test tower, including high-capacity and high-speed systems such as the EOX and Evolutions elevator lines. I specialize in both electrical and mechanical installation processes, ensuring seamless integration of components. Additionally, I serve as the Localization Lead in Latin America, where I oversee technical training and support the development of localization strategies for elevator systems.

Design of a Dual-Band Planar Rectenna with a Voltage-Doubler Rectifier for 915 MHz and 2.4 GHz

Abstract—This paper presents the design of a dual-band planar rectenna operating at 915 MHz and 2.4 GHz for RF energy harvesting and wireless power transfer (WPT) applications within the ISM bands. The proposed architecture integrates a compact double-T planar monopole antenna with a rectifier circuit. The antenna is implemented on a CuClad® 217GY substrate, excited via a microstrip line, and optimized for a 50 Ω impedance. The rectifier adopts a Greinacher voltage doubler topology combined with a dual-band impedance matching network. Simulations conducted using CST Studio and Keysight ADS confirm effective impedance matching at both 915 MHz and 2.4 GHz. The system was analyzed under varying input power levels and load conditions. The results demonstrate the feasibility of powering ultra-low-power electronic devices, such as Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) sensors, using energy harvested by the rectenna—even under low input power conditions as low as −20 dBm. Electromagnetic Design of a 2.4 GHz Rectenna with a Voltage Doubler Rectifier" de Herzog A. A., Bulla G., Muller I., e Brusamarello V.

Abstract—This article explores the design and development of a voltage rectifier circuit tailored to integrate with both a DC power source and a patch antenna, commonly known as a rectenna. Engineered to function within RF microwaves, particularly at a frequency of 2.4 GHz, the rectifier adopts a voltage doubler configuration. Its primary objective is to showcase the electromagnetic simulation results of patch rectenna using CST Studio software, as well as to present the efficiency achieved in the rectification process. This technology finds common application in Energy Harvesting. Index Terms—Rectenna, rectifier, microwaves, electromagnetic Energy Harvesting.
