This research proposal focuses on the development and application of quantum algorithms for the preprocessing, segmentation, and feature extraction of images that will allow, in the near future, the analysis and recognition of patterns within digital images. It seeks to explore how quantum algorithms can overcome the current limitations of classical computing, considering the necessary infrastructure for the implementation of these algorithms, as well as the potential challenges for their application. The objective is to implement quantum algorithms for digital image processing through the application of quantum computing techniques that enable the optimization of execution time and accuracy, with the aim of preparing for future image classification.
