Biography
Dr. Aghil Sistani (Born: December 16, 1983; Kerman, Iran) is a faculty member and Assistant Professor in the Department of Islamic Arts, Faculty of Art and Architecture, Tarbiat Modares University in Tehran. He is a researcher, author, and university instructor. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Handicrafts, a Master's degree in Islamic Art, and a Doctorate (PH.D) in Art Research from the University of Tehran. Since 2002, he has engaged in continuous studies and activities across various fields including handicrafts, traditional arts, Islamic arts, and handmade carpets. His work encompasses research, authorship, photography, teaching, and collecting antique rugs and kilims, often in collaboration with organizations and institutions such as the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism, the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, the Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Research Institute, the National Carpet Center of Iran, the Carpet and Handicrafts Tourism Commiss
