Biography

Dr. Aby Cheruvathoor Poulose is a senior researcher at the Materials-Envi Lab (MELab), Centre for Energy and Environmental Technologies (CEET), VSB–Technical University of Ostrava, and at the Czech Advanced Technology and Research Institute (CATRIN), Palacký University Olomouc, Czech Republic. His research focuses on the design, synthesis, and advanced characterization of functional nanomaterials for energy and environmental applications. He develops semiconducting nanocrystals, graphene-based nanocomposites, and hybrid nanostructures with tailored optical, electronic, and catalytic properties, with particular emphasis on plasmon-enhanced and heterogeneous photocatalysis, sustainable energy conversion, and related nanoscale technologies. He earned his PhD from Tokyo University, Japan, and is a recipient of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie fellowship and the Japanese Government (Monbukagakusho: MEXT) Scholarship.
