Biography

I am a Senior Lecturer in the Department of French at the University of Ilorin, Nigeria. I hold a Ph.D. in French Language from the University of Ilorin, a Master’s degree from the University of Ibadan, and a Bachelor’s degree in French from Obafemi Awolowo University. I also earned a Postgraduate Diploma in Education to support my teaching profession. My educational journey started at Lycée Moderne de Gagnoa in Côte d’Ivoire, where I developed a strong foundation in French. I have been privileged to receive government scholarships from both Nigeria and France, which gave me the opportunity to study and train in cities like Besançon, Montpellier, Poitiers, and Grenoble. Over the years, I have specialized in sociolinguistics, translation, and French language didactics. With more than thirty years of experience in teaching and academic service, I remain passionate about promoting the French language and supporting students in achieving academic excellence.
