Mahfooz Ahmed

Biography

I am currently a Research Fellow at Gulf University (Bahrain) and International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). My research focuses on open science, research data management, and digital transformation within higher education and public-sector research ecosystems. I investigate how knowledge-sharing practices, digital infrastructures, and policy frameworks influence research transparency, reproducibility, and collaboration. Over the years, I have contributed to projects integrating bibliometric analysis, data science methods, and information systems to enhance institutional research visibility and data governance. My work also examines the human and organizational dimensions of open research bridging technology, management, and scholarly communication. I have published in several SCOPUS- and Web of Science–indexed journals (Q1–Q2) and continue to collaborate internationally on multidisciplinary research.
