Biography
I am a researcher and lecturer with a strong background in engineering, biomechanics, and neurorehabilitation. I am a postdoctoral fellow at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) in Spain. I have previously worked at Griffith University in Australia and conducted research in Germany. My work focuses on the development of innovative, noninvasive neurorehabilitation technologies that integrate biomechanical modelling, control systems, and functional electrical stimulation. I have a passion for inclusive education and have taught and supervised students across all academic levels. I have also contributed to major international research projects. My work has led to over €238k in research funding, numerous publications, and recognition through awards such as the European Commission’s Seal of Excellence.
Education
I hold a PhD in Electronic Systems and Automation Engineering (2019), a Master's in Mechatronic Systems (2014), and a Bachelor's in Control and Automation Engineering (2012), all from the Universidade de Brasília, Brazil.
