Research Interests

My primary research interests are reinforced earth structures and geosynthetics, CFD applications in environmental geotechnics, ground improvement techniques, computational geomechanics and deep foundations.

Biography

Other than research and teaching, I am actively involved in geotechnical engineering consultancy work for the state and central government infrastructure projects for various departments such as., CBI New Delhi, RBI, NHAI, Airport Authority of India, Indian Railways, CPWD, MUDA, MMC, Infrastructure Development Department, Minor Irrigation Department, Planning Department, Public Work Development Department (Ports and Inner Land Water Transport), Rural Development And Panchayath Raj Department, Revenue Department, Tourism Department, Urban Development Department, Water Resources Department and many more. I have completed consultancy of worth 50 Lakhs. In my eight years of academia experience, I worked at Ambo University, Ethiopia, Africa, for three years under the UNDP program. During the stay at Ethiopia, I also worked as visiting faculty for various premier universities of Ethiopia such as., Jimma University, Arba Minch University, Dire Dawa University and Hawassa University.

Education

I am currently working as Assistant Professor and Officer-In Charge of Geotechnical Engineering Division, in the Department of Civil Engineering, The National Institute of Engineering NIE Mysuru. I received Bachelor’s degree from KLES College of Engineering, Belgaum. I obtained M.Tech. and Ph.D. from NIT Surat under the guidance of Dr. C. H. Solanki.
