Biography
Dr. Angela Ogechukwu Ugwu is a native of Ibagwa-Ani in Nsukka LGA of Enugu State. She obtained her MBBS degree from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka in 2006 and later FMCPath in 2014 from the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria. She also obtained her Doctor of medicine (MD) in 2023 from same College. Dr. Angela Ugwu has initiated and completed several research works in areas of sickle cell anaemia, transfusion medicine, hemato-oncology, coagulation disorders and Cochrane systematic reviews. Consequently, she has published 54 papers in peer review journals (locally and internationally), with 31 of these papers published in journals with Thompson Reuters and SCimago Impact Factors/Ratings. She was the Principal investigator in one of the grants she attracted to the College.
