Biography

Dr. Agustín Robles Morúa develops an interdisciplinary line of research focused on sustainable water management, watershed analysis, and the socio-environmental dynamics associated with the use, allocation, and governance of water resources in Mexico and Latin America. His work is characterized by integrating environmental modeling tools, participatory approaches, and socio-technical perspectives that allow for an understanding of the interaction between natural systems, institutions, and communities, especially in contexts of high environmental vulnerability. One of his main areas of study is watershed hydrology, where he applies models to analyze water availability, quality, and distribution in complex systems. These tools allow him to evaluate management scenarios, the impacts of climate change, and risks associated with extreme events. His academic output contributes to strengthening the relationship between science, public policy, and society.
