Biography
Arthur Simões Caetano Cabral is an architect, urban planner and assistant professor at the São Paulo State University Júlio de Mesquita Filho (UNESP/Bauru Campus). Graduated from the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism at the University of São Paulo, he holds a master's degree and PhD in the area of Landscape and Environment, from FAU-USP. His main line of research is directed towards the poetics of landscape and is based on studies of hidden streams and ruderal floras, from a dialectical perspective of the processes of erasure and unveiling of the landscape in the urban environment. The line investigates the interactions established between nature and society and their expressions in the landscape, assuming the inseparability between Earth and the World. Since 2011, he has been a researcher at the Landscape, Art and Culture Laboratory (LABPARC FAU-USP). He coordinated the Laboratory of Urban-Landscape Studies (LUPA-UFG) between 2018 and 23.
