Biography

Associate professor at the Institute of Physical Education and Sports (IEFE) of the Federal University of Alagoas (UFAL). Supervisor at the master's and doctoral levels in the Postgraduate Programs in Nutrition (PPGNUT), Health Sciences (PPGCS), and Movement Science (PAPGCM). Leader of the Research Group (GPBIOS) and the Research Laboratory in Biodynamics of Human Performance and Health (LAPEBIOS) at IEFE/UFAL. PhD in Physical Education, specializing in Biodynamics of Human Performance, from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC). Member of the Research Group in Kinanthropometry and Human Performance (NuCiDH) and the Laboratory of Cardiac Vascular Physiology (Cardiovasc Lab), both located at UFSC. Reviewer for national and international journals in the field. His research areas include: 1) Physical activity and exercise on physical fitness and cardiovascular risk; 2) Development and validation of instruments for measuring physical activity, body composition, and fitness.
