Biography

Uche Basil Eke a Fellow of the Chemical Society of Nigeria (FCSN), is a Professor of inorganic chemistry in the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Physical Sciences, University of Ilorin, Ilorin with over three decades of teaching, research and administrative experience. He has served the University of Ilorin in different capacities including Head of Department of Chemistry, Dean of Faculty of Physical Sciences and Chairman, University Sports Council. His areas of research interests include Biofuels, Biopolymer Conjugates of drug candidates, Chemistry for Healthy Life. Professor Eke has successfully supervised 10 PhDs and more than 20 Masters’ theses in the area of Biofuels and Biopolymer Conjugates of drug candidates. He has successfully produced and optimized performance parameters of a new biodiesel. He has also published over forty-five research papers in high impact factor peer-reviewed scientific journals.
