Biography
Dr. Alice Brites Osorio is a legal anthropologist specializing in transitional justice, legal pluralism, and environmental justice. She is currently a Research Network Development Officer at EUPeace (University of Limoges) and an expert judicial translator/interpreter in legal matters. Her research explores how non-human entities are recognized as victims in post-conflict legal frameworks, particularly in the Colombian Special Jurisdiction for Peace (JEP). She has worked on international research projects related to justice, human rights, and environmental law, collaborating with institutions in Europe and Latin America. Alice has a strong background in research valorization, networking, and consultancy, working closely with universities, NGOs, and international organizations. She has also contributed to legal translation and intercultural mediation in multilingual judicial contexts.
