Biography

During my undergraduate studies, I was engaged in projects aimed at promoting sports within the university. I completed my internship at Gerdau Aços Longos as a rolling mill operations intern, working on automation systems for rolling mills and reheat furnaces, in addition to people management. My final project at UFRGS consisted of a mathematical model and computer simulation of the performance of a three-phase induction motor during the rolling of a SAE1015 steel billet on a three-way rolling mill. After two years in rolling mill operations, I transitioned to the meltshop in 2023. Initially, I focused on continuous casting improvements and team management. One year later, I led the metallic yield project, covering the entire meltshop process. In early 2025, I joined the central maintenance engineering team, where I am responsible for upstream treatment failure analysis and reliability initiatives for meltshop equipment.
