Biography

Prof Barnes Sookdeo is an Associate Professor in the Department of Operations Management at the University of South Africa. He is also a Fellow of the World Academy of Productivity Science (WCPS). He holds a Masters Degree from University of Johannesburg and a PhD from North West University. He has sixteen years industry experience and is currently in his 21st year in academia. His research interests include work study, industrial engineering, operations management, lean manufacturing, ergonomic, productivity, quality management and supply chain management. His publications include the South African Journal of Industrial Engineering, International Journal of Productivity and Quality Management, International Journal of Productivity and Quality Management and Strategic Direction. He has presented papers at local and international conferences and is a reviewer of international journals and conferences.
