Biography

He is an economist specializing in regional and urban economics, with a primary focus on applied microeconomics. He has published in peer-reviewed journals and received the Tower Award in 2008 for academic performance, as well as first place in the Research and Statistics Institute of the Federal District Award in 2023. He served as a Research Assistant III in the Directorate of Macroeconomic Studies at the Institute of Applied Economic Research and has taught courses including Statistics, Financial Mathematics, Microeconomics, Evaluation of Government Programs and Projects, and Budgeting and Public Finance. He was a substitute professor at the University of Brasília (UnB) in 2013 and, for five years, served as a pedagogical advisor to the Economics Program at the Catholic University of Brasília. He is currently a professor at the University of Brasília and previously coordinated the Master’s Program in Public Management (PPGP) for four years.

Education

Holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Brasília, a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the Catholic University of Brasília (2002), a Master’s degree in Business Economics from the Catholic University of Brasília (2005), and a Master’s degree in Economics from the Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, Georgia, USA (2008).
