Biography

I completed the Degree in Biology, research branch, at the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto, in 2009. Still, during my degree, I did an internship at the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto, within the scope of Cellular and Molecular Biology. In 2009, I joined the Institute of Pathology and Molecular Immunology (IPATIMUP), along with the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto, to start the Master in Forensic Genetics, completed in 2011. In 2012, I did a non-curricular stay at the Institute of Legal Medicine of Porto, currently the Northern Delegation of the National Institute of Legal Medicine and Forensic Sciences, IP. In 2013, I have started at the Faculty of Medicine of the Complutense University of Madrid a PhD in Biomedical Sciences. I have defended my PhD thesis in 2020, with the A+ "Cum Laude".
