Biography
He began his conservation experience at just 10 years old in his father's restoration workshop. Created his conservation company, at the age of 22, where he coordinated several projects and conservation teams. Since 2012, he has dedicated himself to research in the área of underwater conservation and archaeology. He is president of the Association CAAPortugal since 2015, co-coordinator of the research projects MEDICE and CARACA registered in DGPC, and is dedicated to research and development of technologies applied to conservation and archaeology, namely advanced recording and monitoring systems, passive conservation engineering and new methods and materials for the conservation of organics materials from underwater environments. Since 2009 he has been a guest professor at the Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa where he teaches several subjects in the field of conservation and archaeology.
