Biography

Dr. Eleni Leontaridi is a Full Professor of linguistics at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Head of the School of Italian Language and Literature and Member of the Senate of the same institution. She teaches theoretical and applied linguistics in undergraduate and postgraduate programs at the AUTh since 2006, whereas her previous appointments include employment in Greece and Spain at the University of Athens, the Athens University of Economics and Business, the University of Salamanca and University of Jaén, among others. She has taught as Visiting Professor at undergraduate and postgraduate courses on short period visits at various universities in Europe, Asia and Africa and since 2002 she collaborates with the Hellenic Open University as Course Coordinator and Adjunct Lecturer for Spanish language and Linguistics distance learning courses in the undergraduate program “Hispanic Language and Culture”.

Education

Dr. Eleni Leontaridireceived her BA from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and pursued postgraduate studies in Spain, where she received her MA and PhD degree from the University of Salamanca.
