Biography

Dr. Essam Obaid is an Associate Professor in the Department of Information Technology at Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University (IMSIU), Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He has over 30 years of academic and consulting experience in knowledge management, digital transformation, data governance, and competitive intelligence. Dr. Obaid has supervised master’s and PhD theses and taught a wide range of courses, including Knowledge Management, IT Governance, and Competitive Intelligence. He has consulted on several national and regional projects related to smart archiving, ISO-based knowledge systems, innovation frameworks, and learning organizations. His research includes contributions to AI in digital knowledge, and he has authored and translated academic publications, including a chapter on AI and creativity published by Sultan Qaboos University. He also delivers online professional courses via Udemy and is an active speaker and thought leader in organizational learning and innovation systems
