Biography
Dr. Farhana Khatoon is presently serving as an assistant professor in the Department of Geography, at the University of Allahabad. She earned a B.A. (honours) and M.Sc., degrees with first class from the Department of Geography, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), Aligarh, and also obtained a B.ED degree with first class from the Department of Education, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), Aligarh. She had earned M.Phil. and PhD degrees from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi. She had qualified for the UPSC (Civil Service) Mains examination twice (in 2012 and 2014) and appeared before the interview board. While pursuing M.Phil. and PhD degrees from JNU, she was the recipient of a Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and a Senior Research Fellowship (SRF). She has attended several national and international conferences, and workshops. To enhance her skills, she has attended training programs organized by TISS, Mumbai, and IIRS, Dehradun.
