Biography

Dr. Achmad Fawaid, S.S., M.A., M.A. is an Indonesian linguist and literary scholar focusing on the politics of representation and the social power of language and narrative. Born in Probolinggo, East Java, on 18 January 1989, he completed 4 (four) academic degrees at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM): Bachelor’s degree in Indonesian Literature (2011), Master’s degrees in Religious and Cross-Cultural Studies (2015) and Literary Studies (2016), and PhD in Humanities (2023), with a dissertation on narrative aesthetics and political representation in Javanese court literature. He is also actively involved as presenter in international conferences, editorial board in some reputable journals, and coordinator in community service.
