Biography
Public Health Researcher at the Oswaldo Cruz Institute, Lead of VITAL - Research Center for Life Course Epidemiology and Inequalities, and Professor in Graduate Programs in Epidemiology. She is a researcher for the Longitudinal Study of Adult Health (ELSA-Brasil) and a member of the steering committee of the Brazilian Research Group on Multimorbidity (GBEM). She completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Evandro Chagas National Institute of Infectious Diseases through the Fiocruz Innovation Promotion Program. Previously, she was a professor in the Department of Preventive and Social Medicine at the UFMG School of Medicine, where she taught theoretical and practical courses in Primary Health Care, Occupational Health, and Social Sciences Applied to Health. Her expertise focuses on Life Course Epidemiology, social determinants of health, racial and gender inequalities, intersectionality, and multimorbidity using advanced statistical and computational modeling.
