Biography
In addition to leading the Research Group on Geotechnologies Applied to Environmental Studies, I have been in charge of the Hydrology Laboratory at FCTE UNESP/Ourinhos. I work at the State University of Mato Grosso as a member of the Remote Sensing, Geography Research, and Teaching group (SERPEGEO). As an alternate member of the Middle Paranapanema River Basin Committee (CBH-MP), he or she currently maintains exchange programs with researchers from the Universidad del Sur, Argentina, and the University of Minho. I was a Fulbright Research Program researcher at Kansas State University in the United States in 2024. Along with reviewing for the journal Remote Sensing, he or she also acts as an ad hoc consultant for both domestic and foreign journals. His/her primary areas of expertise are physical geography, statistical modeling, and geotechnologies.
Education
I completed a postdoctoral qualification (Livre-docência) in Applied Geoprocessing (2022) at São Paulo State University Júlio de Mesquita Filho (UNESP) after earning a degree in Mathematics (2000), a master's degree (2002), and a doctorate in tomographic sciences (2007). In 2015–2016, I finished my postdoctoral studies in geography at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, and in 2017–2018, I finished my postdoc for spatial statistics at the University of Minho, Portugal.
