Biography

Dr. Hamdy Hamed Abdel Naby Youssef holds a Bachelor's and Master's degree from the Department of Geology, Ain Shams University, Egypt. He received his PhD in geology and geochemistry from the University of Tübingen, Germany (a scholarship from the German Academic Exchange Service DAAD, 1996). He is currently working as a professor in the Department of Mineral Resources and Rocks, Faculty of Earth Sciences, King Abdulaziz University. One of the most important tasks he held in Egypt (from 2016 to 2019) was the Head of the Strategy and Partnership Building Management Center at the Nuclear Material Authority, Egypt. He taught courses in general geology, igneous and metamorphic rocks, taxonomic mineralogy, geochemistry, and principles of geochemical techniques. He has many books in the fields of general geology, mineralogy, metamorphic geology, and the geology of uranium deposits. He has published many research papers in international scientific journals in the field of geochemistry.
