Biography
Hima C S is an Architect, Urban Designer, and Assistant Professor at BMS College of Architecture, Design and Planning, Bengaluru, a nationally recognised institution ranked 20th in the NIRF Rankings 2025. She holds a Gold Medal in Bachelor of Architecture from KLE Technological University (2012) and secured a VTU Rank in Master’s in Urban Design from R V College of Architecture (2017). With over eight years of teaching experience and thirteen years of professional practice, her academic interests focus on urban design, indigenous economies, participatory planning, and sustainable urbanism. She has authored sixteen research publications in esteemed national and international journals and conferences, including CONTEXT, PalArch, Journal PUB, SURF, UDL, and My Liveable City. She is an active member of professional bodies such as the Indian Institute of Architects (IIA) and the Institute of Urban Designers India (IUDI), contributing to academic discourse through research, consultancy.
