Biography

Currently serving as Director, School of Mines, Kazi Nazrul University, Asansol, A state owned University, Govt of West Bengal. Formerly Deputy General Manager (Quality Assurance and Technology Development) at Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, Visakhapatnam, Sri Arghya Majumder, did his graduation in Metallurgical Engineering and Master degree in Industrial Metallurgy from Jadavpur University. He is a PhD holder from Jadavpur University. He had been instrumental in ensuring the quality of steel through stringent process control over Raw material handling plant, sinter plant as well as Blast Furnace for more than two decades. and for A Certified lead and internal auditor for Quality Management System (QMS) and Integrated Management system (IMS) by BVC, UK, he had been conducting regular audits of Core departments as well as Marketing branch offices and stockyards for the last 10 years. He also has a Post-Graduate Diploma in Computer Application (PGDCA) from Pondicherry University.
