Biography
Isabella Damiani is a geographer specializing in the geopolitics of post-Soviet Central Asia. Her research focuses on analyzing power rivalries, conflicts, and representations of power surrounding border territories and transboundary issues (resources, trade, mobility, spatial and identity restructuring, regionalism), particularly through the use of digital geographic information tools. She is the author of the book "Géopolitique de l’Asie centrale" (PUF, 2013).
