Jose Marcio Carvalho

Biography

José Márcio Carvalho was born in Lavras, Brazil. He studied Agronomy at Federal University of Lavras (UFLA). He also obtained a Master Degree in Management at the same university in 1996. José Márcio Carvalho started his career as a lecturer at Tocantins State University (UNITINS) in 1995. The PhD title was conquered by him at the University of Reading (England) in 2003. At the same year he became lecturer at the Federal University of Tocantins (UFT). Since 2006 he teaches International Business and Project Management at the University of Brasilia (UnB). As a manager, he held the positions of course coordinator, head of the Administration Department (ADM UnB). He was also the director of the Business School (FACE) at the University of Brasília (UnB). Throughout his career, he has mainly researched international business with an emphasis on Brazilian agribusiness products. Currently he is researching international business and the institutional environment of international trade.
