Biography

Dr. Kavitha K is Professor and Head of the Department of Child Health Nursing at B.L.D.E.A’s Shri B.M.Patil Institute of Nursing Sciences. She completed her UG and PG from Meenakshi College of Nursing, Chennai in the years 2002 and 2007 respectively, and a Ph.D under the National Consortium for Nursing, INC; certificate course on Virtual Capacity Building of Midwifery Faculty and a Preterm care certificate course. She has 18 years of teaching experience. She has initiated and organized national and international conferences, workshops, etc. from time to time. Dr. Kavitha is a recognized Ph.D. guide under the National Consortium for Nursing, INC, and Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences. She has published 20 articles in the UGC CARE list and SCOPUS-indexed journals. She also presented scientific papers and posters at conferences and published a book entitled “A Comprehensive Manual of Pediatric Nursing Procedures" under the banner of JAYPEE Brothers Medical Publishers.
