Biography

Professor of Humanities in Universidad Internacional de La Rioja and Communication in Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (Spain). Researcher at the National System of Researchers of Uruguay (ANII) and editor of the Revista [sic] of Art and Literature. He has been a visiting professor at the University of Salamanca (Spain) and the University of the Republic (Uruguay). He has published numerous books and articles on film and literature, novels, and essays. His latest book Los nacimientos del cine uruguayo. Una historia completa (2023) won the 2024 Uruguayan National Literature Prize.
