Biography
Luís Manuel Brás Bernardino is a Portuguese Army Colonel (Reserve) with more than 37 years of experience in UN, NATO and EU missions. He holds a master’s degree in Strategy and a PhD in International Relations from the Lisbon University. Professor at the Military University Institute with extensive international experience on teaching, training, and advising. He is the author and co-author of 15 books and has published more than 100 articles in national and international scientific and non-scientific journals on topics of Security, Defence, Africa and the CPLP. Specialist in International Security and Defence, he regularly participates in conferences, evaluation boards, and other academic and institutional events. He is currently Assistant Professor at the Department of International Relations at the Autonomous University of Lisbon (UAL). He teaches postgraduate courses related to Leadership, Strategy, Comunication and International Relations.
