Biography
Luís Carlos Bruno has been professor at the Polytechnic Institute of Beja (IPBeja) since 1997, currently as assistant professor, where teaches undergraduate and masters courses in the area of computer science. He is currently coordinator of the Information Systems and Interactivity Laboratory (LabSI2) and board member of the IPBeja Knowledge Transfer Center. He has participated in several research projects as invited researcher at INESC-ID (Lisbon) in the Visualization and Intelligent Multimodal Interfaces (VIMMI) group. The main scientific interests are focused on the following areas: multimodal interactive systems, navigation in virtual environments, gesture recognition and assistive technologies for active aging.
