Biography

Born in Mallorca, I studied anthropology in Barcelona. For the master's and doctorate I settled in Paris where I was able to deepen in methodological aspects and start my research in Cuba. For this I lived a year and a half in Cuba, three months in Miami and consulted Oscar Lewis' archives in Miami. During my PhD years I collaborated in several projects on Cuba at Queen's University (Canada), University of London (UK) and Oxford University (UK). I worked on an oral archive project in the city of Melilla, where I was field coordinator with 5 people in my charge. In 2017 I returned to Barcelona to be the coordinator of the European project "MEDFEST-MED Culinary heritage experiences: how to create sustainable tourist destinations".
