Biography
She holds a Bachelor’s, Master’s, and PhD in Communication from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and a Diploma in Research Techniques from the Instituto Nacional de Antropología e Historia. She is a full-time professor-researcher at the Universidad Autónoma de la Ciudad de México and part of the core faculty in its graduate programs. She has taught at more than 20 universities in Latin America and Europe, coordinated national and regional research groups on communication theory and methodology, and authored 19 books and over 160 academic publications. She has given close to 200 talks in countries across the Americas and Europe. She is a Level II member of the Sistema Nacional de Investigadores and serves on the editorial boards of more than 20 academic journals. Her research focuses on communication theory and epistemology, intersubjective and interpersonal communication, body and emotions, and intercultural communication
