Biography

Manoj Kumar Rawat is a senior banking and development finance professional with over three decades of experience spanning rural banking, agricultural and MSME finance, commodity and warehouse finance, microfinance, and climate-aligned finance. He began his career as a Scientist-Engineer with ISRO before transitioning to development and commercial banking. Over the years, he has held leadership roles with NABARD, Fullerton India (Temasek), and RBL Bank as Group EVP , Business Head and Management Committee member, and served as Managing Director & CEO of an RBI-registered NBFC. Currently, he works as an Independent Strategic Advisor and Consultant, supporting multilateral and development partners, financial institutions, and corporates on agriculture, rural and MSME ecosystems, commodity and climate finance. He also serves as Senior Consultant & Technical Architect to IFAD (United Nations) in designing a national agri-finance platform.

Education

An alumnus of G.B. Pant University of Agriculture & Technology, he is a B.Tech (Gold Medallist), M.E., MBA (Finance), and CAIIB, and an IICA Certified Independent Director. He has completed leadership programmes at Cornell University (USA), Wharton School(USA) and IIM Ahmedabad.
