Biography
Cardiologist. Doctor of Medical Sciences (2004). Professor (2020). State Prize of Ukraine in Science and Technology (2019). Graduated from Kharkiv Medical Institute (1981). Since then, he has been working at the Institute of Therapy of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine (Kharkiv): 1985–2002— Head of the Department of Resuscitation and Intensive Care, since 2005— Head of the Department of Prevention and Treatment of Emergency Conditions. The main studies focus on post-infarction remodelling processes, taking into account the state of the immune system and neurotransmitters, and their impact on the development of heart failure and ventricular arrhythmia.
