Biography
Prof. Nirmal Chandra Dash (b.1953) has over 45 years of Research and 35 years of Teaching experience. He was the first Anthropology Honours Graduate in the State who pursued his Post Graduate in Anthropology at Utkal University being a recipient of National Merit Scholarship and received First Class Master's Degree in 1975. After which he joined the International Institute for Population Sciences (IIPS), Mumbai as a Government of India (GOI) Fellow in 1976 and obtained his M.Phil. Degree. He then opted Utkal University for his Doctoral Research after receiving UGC jr. Fellowship in 1977. He discontinued the Fellowship and Joined as a Lecturer in the Department of Anthropology in a Premier Government College (BJB) of the State in 1978. Then he served at Khallikote Autonomous College, Berhampur (1990-2001) and DD Autonomous College, Kendujhar (2001-2004). Prof. Dash joined FM University, Baleshwar as a Professor in the newly opened Department of Population Studies and got Superannuation
