Biography

Nitin Pillai has more than 12 years of teaching experience in the domain of communication. His professional focus is in assisting students develop their communicative competence for strategic personal and professional interactions.In addition to his Masters in English he also earned a Post Graduate Diploma in Teaching English (PGDTE) from EFL University, Hyderabad and followed it with a Master of Philosophy in English Language Teaching and Higher Order Thinking Skills. He was awarded a PhD for this work in Alternative Language Assessment Strategies that investigated the need for better assessment practices in order to develop communicative abilities. He holds a Post Graduate Certificate in General Management from Indian Institute of Management, Nagpur (IIM N). He is trained in Language Assessment and Critical Thinking Strategies in EFL Context by University of Maryland (Baltimore, USA) & SIT Graduate Institute (USA) through RELO (Regional English Language Office).
