Biography

My name is Octavia Veronica Panjaitan, and I am a seventh-semester student majoring in Marine Science. I have a strong interest in studying and understanding the marine environment, including marine ecosystems, oceanography, and coastal management. Currently, I am conducting a field practice program focused on identifying seagrass species and determining their abundance in coastal waters. This program allows me to apply the knowledge and research skills I have gained during my studies to real-world fieldwork. In addition to academics, I am actively involved in student organizations I am a member of UKM KMI CORAL, which focuses on marine conservation activities, and I also participate in the Student Executive Board (BEM) of the Faculty of Marine Science and Fisheries. Through both academic and organizational experiences, I continue to develop my leadership, teamwork, and environmental awareness to support marine conservation and sustainable coastal management.

Education

As a seventh-semester Marine Science student, I have studied various subjects related to marine biology, oceanography, marine ecology, and coastal management. Through these courses, I have gained knowledge about marine ecosystems, ocean processes, and sustainable resource management.
