Biography
Katijjahbe is a senior principal physiotherapist leading the Cardiorespiratory Stream at Hospital Canselor Tuanku Muhriz and an Honorary Clinical Associate at Swinburne University of Technology (SUT). Katijjahbe completed her PhD at The University of Melbourne in the area of cardiac surgery. She investigated the clinimetric properties of outcome measures evaluating functional recovery and a randomized controlled trial investigating the effect of a modified program of sternal precautions that promotes upper limb exercise to facilitate recovery. Katijjahbe has featured in an international collaborative webcast on the EACTS, CTSNet, World Stroke Organisation (WSO)websites; assisted in updating outcome measures on HeartOnline, a platform for health professionals and contributed to an invited review paper in Physical Therapy (2019).
