Biography

Patrícia Tonon is a chemist at the Faculdade de Engenharia de Alimentos (FEA) at UNICAMP, working in the EXTRAE laboratory since 2011. Her research focuses on the development and validation of analytical methods for vegetable oils, bioactive extracts, and their derivatives, emphasizing environmental sustainability and laboratory safety. She also teaches undergraduate and graduate courses on the chemical composition of essential oils and coordinates university outreach workshops on essential and vegetable oils through the UniversIDADE Program.

Education

Patrícia Tonon holds a degree in Chemistry (2009), a Master’s in Analytical Chemistry (2012), and a Ph.D. in Sciences (2018), all from the Instituto de Química at UNICAMP - Brazil.
