Biography

Mr. Sumanth Ratna. Kandavalli is based out of New York City and is a research scholar-graduate student in the Department of ME-Mechanical Engineering at the Tandon School of Engineering, New York University. He received his B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from Karunya University as an honored undergraduate. His research interests are in the fields of Mechanical and Material Science Engineering. He has 5+ years of experience in conducting research, scientific writing and his current research focus includes additive manufacturing, composite materials, biomaterials, and engineering design. He has published over 22 peer-reviewed scientific papers and filed over 25 National and International Patent applications, of which 8 are issued. Not content with the confines of scholarly publications and patent filings, RATNA has also undertaken the noble endeavor of co-authoring a book titled "Introduction to Material Science and Engineering."
