Biography

He holds a degree in Plastic Arts (1991) and a master's degree in Visual Arts from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (1995). Doctor in Visual Poetics by PPGAVI UFRGS (2011). It is linked to the Department of Visual Arts of the Institute of Arts UFRGS next to the undergraduate courses in the Bachelor of Visual Arts and History of Art. Acting as professor in Laboratories of Art and Technology and History of Art and Technology. He is also a permanent professor at PPGAVI in the line of research in Visual Line of research: spaces and media. Coordinates the Digital Imaging Laboratories (DAV) and Research Group on Technopoetics, Neuroaesthetics and Creativity (UFRGS / CNPQ).

Education

He has experience in Abject Art, Digital Art, Animation and Interactive Computational Art. Presently researches Neuroars, Neuroaesthetics, contemporary processes of aesthetic naturalization (physiology of aesthetic perception) and unconventional interfaces for interaction in art. Use of artificial intelligence in aesthetics process and art in XXI. The approach of techno-hybridism, how technological objects operate in their evolutionary process and how it impacts digital culture and art.
