Biography
I am a physicist with a deep interest in nonlinear optics and integrated photonics. My research explores how light interacts with itself and with matter in confined geometries, leading to exciting phenomena such as wavelength conversion, Raman amplification, and supercontinuum generation. I earned my Ph.D. in Physics from the Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology (IIEST), Shibpur, where my work focused on the temporal and spectral dynamics of optical pulses in silicon-based waveguides. My goal is to harness nonlinear effects for developing compact, tunable, and efficient photonic devices that can power next-generation optical communication and sensing systems. Beyond research, I enjoy exploring emerging ideas in metasurface-based nonlinear optics and light–matter interaction at the nanoscale, bridging fundamental science with practical photonic technologies.
