Biography

Subhrakanta Jena, born in Odisha (India) in 1993, holds a B.Sc. in Zoology (Honors) and M.Sc. in Zoology with a specialization in Cell Biology and Biochemistry. He is trained in Ethnobiology (medicinal insects and plants) and natural products and is about to submit Ph.D. thesis on Red weaver ants (Oecophylla smaragdina). Formerly, a faculty member at the Department of Zoology, M.P.C. (Auto) College. He has an electric background that includes teaching, research, writing, and publishing. During the last 9 years, he has worked in the field of ethnobiology, microbiology (Antimicrobial and microbial identification), nutritional biology (edible insects and plants), ecology, and morphometry (Ants and fish). S. Jena is acted as a reviewer in many journals published by Scopus, Crossref, Biotaxa, etc. He has published 17 research articles in National/International repute journals and books. S. Jena has also received Rajiv Gandhi National Fellowship, UGC, Govt. of India. Member of ISCA & ZSO.
