Biography
Sushobhan Patankar is an Associate Professor at Symbiosis Institute of Media and Communication(SIMC), Symbiosis International (Deemed) University, Pune. Sushobhan heads the Journalism program at SIMC and he teaches Broadcast Journalism, Sports Journalism, and Documentary Film-making. Sushobhan holds a PhD in Communication Science and a Master of Communication Science from Savitribai Phule Pune University in Pune, India. Sushobhan has worked on a project in partnership with Salisbury University, Maryland, USA under USIEF’s U.S.-India 21st Century Knowledge Initiative awards from September 2018 to August 2020. In the year 2015, he was awarded a fellowship to visit the Eberhardt Karl’s University of Tubingen, Germany for a Research stay under a doctoral student exchange program. Sushobhan has published four research papers in Scopus indexed journals and has published two book chapters. He has presented research papers at four international conferences.
